What is Mola crea?
Mola creates: the novels, the stories, the poems, the dramaturgy that concern us.
Summary sheet
Mola crea is a project open to the public which aims to enhance the creative depth of the city of Mola by promoting knowledge of a strand of creative literature (novel, short story, poetry, drama) and its authors. The only restriction is that they are living authors, "Molese" by birth or because they are somehow related to the city of Mola and who have published in monographic form.
Two further sections of the project concern:
- The valorization of authors who are no longer living: Mola section creates memory. The establishment of operational connections with other geographical contexts (regional, extra-regional, extranational): Mola section creates overflow.
In the 2020 edition, following the first experimental one in 2019, the main objective will concern the involvement of students and teachers of the schools as well as the creation of some presentations of works and the operation of the Reading Group.
The project makes use of ethical supporters (sponsors in progress): "Il Poggio" rural library; ONLUS Association “Le Antiche Ville”; Ecomuseum of Poggio di Mola in Bari; “InfinitART” cultural association; “Culture Club Café” bookshop; "Marino Marangelli" Library; Jazira Writings Editions; Radici Future Editions; University of the Third Age Mola di Bari. Ethical supporters collaborate to ensure the success of the initiatives.
The project also makes use of a large Reading Group, made up of people in general who already know the works of the selected word creators.
The official headquarters of the project with the archive of the works is the “Il Poggio” Rural Library located in the Poggio delle Antiche Ville. The city headquarters of the project is the Culture Club Café bookshop in Mola di Bari (Corso Van Westerhout 53). The project web pages are hosted on the website www.casinamorgese.it. They are divided into a main page (Mola creates) and four subpages (Documents, Initiatives, Mola creates memory, Mola creates flooding).

The memory of Mola Crea
Argo Suglia: poems
The first publication of the MOLA CREA project is "He looked at me from the eye of a cat", a collection of poems by Argo Suglia published by Giazira Edizioni, Noicattaro 2019.
These are 63 poems and 11 aiku which tend to give a more complete image of an author already known in Mola. The poetic corpus is collected here for the first time.
The volume also contains a biographical note by Waldemaro Morgese, Suglia's writing "Don't kill singing" and a testimony by Vincenzo d'Acquaviva.
